Stockbridge Associates Website Rebuild & Branding

When George Casey of Stockbridge Associates and Vistage Chair for Southern Maine approached GCMD about rebuilding his website, his primary goal was to enhance his online credibility, rebrand his consulting business and garner more speaking engagements. His current website was 6+ years old and did not include a content management system (CMS), lacked a strong brand identity, and was not mobile friendly.

Mr. Casey is an astute business man with a keen mind and wonderful sense of humor. His residential construction C-level experience spans decades and he’s a notable international speaker for the housing industry. In addition, Mr. Casey is Vistage Chair for Southern Maine providing mentoring to a group of small to mid-sized businesses, a book author and featured blogger for Builder magazine.

The new website had to convey Mr. Casey’s deep experience in business management within the residential development industry, identify his professional affiliations, outline his speaking engagements, promote his book and inform visitors about Vistage. It also had to make sense to visitors instantly when landing on the homepage and move visitors deeper into the website.

Planning for the new website included deep discovery about his broad background then developing a brand message that visitors could easily grasp, going far beyond listing his services and speaking engagements. Mr. Casey’s website needed to be relevant to several diverse audiences, so a solid strategy was vital to creating a cohesive brand and website. Once the strategy and messaging were complete, we layered a Google-friendly navigation structure designed to move visitors around the website and engaged.

Through professional writing and robust design, GCMD created a website that is both informational as well as visually appealing and engaging. The new website uses his distinctive logo for the website’s color palette and each page is design to engage with the reader, provide valuable content and encourage visitors to discover other pages on the website. Stock images were carefully selected to look authentic, represent his target audience and engage with readers.

The homepage design uses vibrant colors, quality images with links to interior page capture the attention of visitors designed to engage with visitors and encourage them to dig deeper into the website. The footer for many of the pages includes information on Mr. Casey’s book, blog articles, major business affiliations, newsletter sign up and navigation to interior pages. The core inner pages include quality written copy, advanced formatting for easy reading and accordion functionality for displaying credentials attractively and conserving space. Each web page includes a sidebar contact form for lead generation.

The Vistage page displays not only written copy but several videos for learning more about the organization. The sidebar includes a Vistage “ad” and contact form and the footer is much simpler without the book.

Since Mr. Casey is an avid blogger, the new blogging tool enables him to post blog articles that demonstrate his expertise and that can be shared through LinkedIn or other social venues.

The client is very pleased with the new website and feels it represents his company well. It is easy for him to update page content as well as add new blog articles to the website.
